QUOTES OF THE WEEK

“These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents. After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was not necessary or appropriate.”
Former President Donald Trump

“President Trump and his legal team have been cooperative with FBI and DOJ officials every step of the way. The FBI did conduct an unannounced raid and seized paper.”
Trump’s lawyer Christina Bobb

“If 30 FBI agents can take over the house of a former president of the United States and probable candidate for president, what can they do to you? But the purpose of it is simple. They want to control you…If this government and get away with Third World tactics worthy of Venezuela, with the East German Stasi or Zimbabwe under Mugabe, if that’s the future, then the Constitution as a working document has ceased to exist.

“The fact is, he did nothing wrong, he’s cooperated. The Trump family has been persecuted more than any presidential family and history.”
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich

“This is some third world bullshit right here. Let me say it again, third world bullshit. I mean every word of that. I don’t care that it’s cable news. I was a federal agent, I raised my right hand. And I swore to protect and defend the constitution of the United States. And I love this country. This is a freaking disgrace. A disgrace. We don’t live in Cuba. We don’t live under Kim Jong Un. We live in a constitutional republic. A representative democracy. You have a bunch of FBI agents raiding the home of a former president because they don’t like his politics? Are you kidding me?”
Fox News host Dan Bongino

“After all that, the safe at Mar-a-Lago was empty. It was pried open by FBI agents who swarmed the premises under the pretense that they were looking for documents marked for preservation by the National Archives. Does anyone believe that? The FBI’s raid on the former president’s home was not over boxes of documents. If you think that, please, get some crack cocaine, White Claws, and wallow in total ignorance in an observation tank while high as a kite. This line about the documents is politburo stuff, except we’re not the Soviet Union. The FBI was there to find Russian collusion material they know doesn’t exist.

“What happened last night was a social media meme come to life. President Trump’s image is accompanied by the text, ‘in reality; they’re not after me. They’re after you. I’m just in the way.’”
Matt Vespa, Townhall

“I share the deep concern of millions of Americans over the unprecedented search of the personal residence of President Trump. No former President of the United States has ever been subject to a raid of their personal residence in American history. After years where FBI agents were found to be acting on political motivation during our administration, the appearance of continued partisanship by the Justice Department must be addressed. [Monday’s] action undermines public confidence in our system of justice and Attorney General Garland must give a full accounting to the American people as to why this action was taken and he must do so immediately.”
Former Vice President Mike Pence

“Executing a warrant against ex-POTUS is dangerous. The apparent political weaponization of DOJ/FBI is shameful. AG must explain why 250 yrs of practice was upended w/ this raid. I served on Benghazi [Committee] where we proved Hillary possessed classified info. We didn’t raid her home.”
Former CIA Director Mike Pompeo

“You think those 87,000 new IRS agents are just for show? Look at what the DOJ did [Monday] night to President Trump, while it slow-rolls and looks the other way on Hunter Biden. If they will go after a former President, they will go after you.”
Mike Pompeo

“Never in my lifetime did I think I would see an American law enforcement agency be run and weaponized like the FBI… This is a frightening development in our modern political arena. This is the way of Mao and Castro, not Washington and Lincoln.”
Former HUD Secretary Ben Carson

“It’s unprecedented on a number of levels, the most obvious being that no president has ever been subject to this type of raid. It’s also rare under this particular law. The Presidential Records Act is not a heavily enforced law. It is rarely used for criminal prosecution.”
Constitutional scholar Jonathan Turley

“They impeached Trump … for a phone call with Zelensky where the president did nothing wrong. If you think the libs aren’t low enough to prosecute Trump for some bureaucratic National Archives nonsense, you’re not paying attention.”
Buck Sexton

“Eric Swalwell, who was sitting on the House intelligence committee, literally slept with a Chinese spy and he hasn’t been raided by the FBI.”
Caleb Hull

“If Donald Trump did take something, he should have hidden it under Hunter’s pile of hookers and blow. No one ever looks there.”
Brittany Hughes

“This bill creates 87,000 new IRS agents. It doubles the size of the IRS. … The Democrats are making the IRS bigger than the Pentagon, plus the Department of State, plus the FBI, plus the Border Patrol combined.”
Senator Ted Cruz

“The army of … new IRS agents Joe Manchin and Chuck Schumer’s bill will hire is 50,000 more than the number of new recruits the actual Army will bring in this year.”
John Cooper

“For some reason, somehow, every Democrat in Washington and the United States Senate believes it’s a good thing to hire 87,000 new IRS agents to come after you and your taxes. This is supposed to be for the rich, but let me tell you, the rich have a bunch of lawyers and accountants. Well over half of all the audits conducted in the United States today are conducted on people who make less than $75,000. … So when you go to the football games this fall, just imagine everybody to your left and right being IRS agents. … If you think the federal government is out of control now, God help us when you get 87,000 new IRS agents who are looking under every rock and stone to get money out of your pocket. This is bigger than the British army. So, my belief is that we probably need a bigger British army and a smaller IRS. … We have 18,000 Border Patrol agents. I’d like to see a lot more Border Patrol agents and less IRS agents.”
Senator Lindsey Graham

“Joe Biden fired 11,000 Keystone XL pipeline workers and is hiring 87,000 new IRS agents. That is everything you need to know about this administration.”
JR Majewski

“How corrupt is the FBI? Two days after they raid Donald Trump’s private residence, Hunter Biden, whose laptop proving multiple felonies the FBI has had for years, hops on Air Force 1 for a family vacation.”
Clay Travis

“If 98.2% of Americans make under $400,000 and the Biden Administration is promising not to audit anyone making under $400,000, why do they need to hire 87,000 IRS agents?”
Caleb Hull

“The IRS union gives 99% of its donations to Democrats. Now you know why Joe Biden wants to give the agency $80 billion.”
Congressman Lance Gooden

“When Republicans hold committee hearings, Democrats get to name their members. When Democrats hold committee hearings, they get to name all the members. When Obama Attorney General Eric Holder is held in contempt of Congress over his role in sending guns to drug lords, he can laugh it off. When former Trump trade adviser Peter Navarro is held in contempt, he is shackled by the FBI. When Democrats support underlying causes that end in riots, they are absolved of responsibility. When Republicans do, they are insurrectionists.”
David Harsanyi

“I just want to say a number. Zero. [Yesterday], we received news that our economy had zero percent inflation in the month of July. Zero percent.”
President Joe Biden

“Inflation was announced at 8.5% for the month of July, one of the highest rates in forty years. Joe Biden just said inflation is at 0%. They lie so brazenly it’s incredible.”
Clay Travis

“The weather may be out of our control for now, but it’s not beyond our control.”
President Joe Biden

“At this point I LITERALLY view people who still support Donald Trump no different than the despicable, vile people who supported Bin Laden after 9/11.”
CNN columnist and radio show host Dean Obeidallah

“Sex is a major driver of the global monkeypox outbreak. But health officials and longtime HIV activists say calls for abstinence don’t work.”
The Washington Post

“They closed churches and schools and left open marijuana dispensaries and liquor stores. They cut us off from our grandparents but won’t cut off gay orgies over stigmatization. There is no reason to listen to public health officials again.”
Erick Erickson

“My dearest Olivia, you made all of our lives so much better. Your impact was incredible. I love you so much. We will see you down the road and we will all be together again. Yours from the moment I saw you and forever! Your Danny, your John!”
“Grease” co-star John Travolta. Legendary Australian actress and singer Olivia Newton-John, the star of “Grease” and a pop sensation in the 1970s and 1980s, died on Monday, according to her family. She was 73. The English-born singer confirmed in September 2018 that she was treating cancer in her spine. It was her third diagnosis of cancer following bouts with breast cancer over the years.
