That firepower probably won’t be as lethal as last season.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported in an article previewing the upcoming schedule:
It’s a challenging situation when you lose last year’s Southeast Conference’s offensive player of the year in current Wisconsin quarterback Myles Burkett. That situation gets even more difficult when you also have to replace a senior class of 16 kids, including all five starters on the offensive line with three all-conference players and six first team all-conference defenders.
That’s the current state of affairs facing head coach Louis Brown and the reigning Division 1 state champions heading into the 2022 season.
The Journal Sentinel picked up a piece by the Green Bay Press Gazette listing 59 of the top players in Wisconsin.
No Franklin players got a mention. Hmmm.
Franklin opens their season tonight at home against Catholic Memorial, what could be their toughest opponent of 2022.
GO SABERS!
