A San Francisco Bay Area chef doesn’t want to serve anyone at his restaurant wearing the President Donald Trump-inspired “Make America Great Again” hats.
In a since-deleted tweet, J. Kenji López-Alt said, “It hasn’t happened yet, but if you come to my restaurant wearing a MAGA cap, you aren’t getting served, same as if you come in wearing a swastika, white hood, or any other symbol of intolerance and hate.”
Those MAGA hats are the subject of today’s read from freelance writer Lauren DeBellis:
The hat the critics are angry about was produced by supporters of a president whose policies have achieved the lowest unemployment rate in history for African-Americans and Latinos, and the lowest in decades for women.
If you’re someone who is so easily provoked by a hat on someone else’s head, then there’s really not much that won’t trigger you.
