I’m sorry, but I just have to laugh.

The following are all true.

The full Milwaukee County Board met on Thursday.

On the agenda: the issue of tax support for renovations at American Family Field, home of the Milwaukee Brewers.

WISN-TV Channel 12 in Milwaukee covered the meeting.

My Milwaukee County Supervisor Steve Taylor posted on social media pictures of Channel 12 interviewing him.

Taylor also posted his quotes on the issue:  “I just don’t think it’s right that the taxpayers foot the bill” and “Telling the state of Wisconsin, the legislature, that we don’t support this. We do not support taxpayers of Milwaukee County having to pay for Am Fam Field renovations.”

Those quotes are what are referred to as “low-hanging fruit.” Simple opinions that can easily garner favorable reaction from observers, voters, constituents.

I repeat from Taylor: “I just don’t think it’s right that the taxpayers foot the bill.”

Taylor works for a company that includes a baseball stadium that received $33-million in TIF money from the city of Franklin.

The company is now asking for additional city funding for an apartment development that is being billed as the future downtown of Franklin and will be the subject of future hearings.

I voted for Steve Taylor. I did not vote for this Steve Taylor.
