Now that we’re into 2023 and given that my curiosity bone is as big as Oak Creek I can’t help but wonder what lies ahead in the New Year.
Not in any chronological order, but in 2022:
A local alderman called me a coward at a public meeting.
I was called woke.
I was called a RINO.
I was called a closet Democrat.
I was accused of working with Tony Evers to defeat Tim Michels.
Some people unfriended me on Facebook because I didn’t call for Robin Vos’ head.
A few expressed sympathy for my daughter who I guess isn’t being raised properly.
I was told I had the blood of Ukrainians on my hands.
Hateful leftists ridiculed my 11-day stay in the intensive care unit at a local hospital.
Maybe I should heed the advice of Mark Twain who once stated:
“Never argue with stupid people. They will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.”
I try to remember that the greatest of the virtues is charity.
