Mayor Steve Olson is running for re-election.

Former disgraced and recalled Franklin alderman and perennial also-ran Basil Ryan is now circulating nomination papers.

So now you have a do-nothing outgoing alderman in John Nelson and Basil (I’ve got baggage) Ryan who want the job.

This makes it even easier to choose Olson.
