Breathe, breathe, breathe

I’ve written quite a bit about getting slammed in September with COVID, double pneumonia, and sepsis. It all hit my lungs pretty hard. So during my 11-day stint in the hospital ICU I was urged to and did lots and lots of breathing exercises. Wish I had a dollar for every time I was instructed and reminded to breathe in and breathe out.

Turns out the advice is invaluable because breathing is a key to a healthier brain.

Reporter Mat Lecompte discovered there’s a definite link between deep breathing and a reduction in anxiety levels.
