There were two (2) advisory referendum questions on Tuesday’s ballot in Milwaukee County:
Should the Wisconsin Legislature prohibit the import, sale, manufacture, transfer, or possession of semi-automatic “military-style” firearms whose prohibition is allowed under the Wisconsin and United States Constitutions?
COUNTYWIDE
YES: 227,952 (69%)
NO: 100,084 (31%)
FRANKLIN
YES: 10,505 (60%)
NO: 7,009 (40%)
Do you favor allowing adults 21 years of age and older to engage in the personal use of marijuana, while also regulating commercial marijuana-related activities, and imposing a tax on the sale of marijuana?
COUNTYWIDE
YES: 244,074 (74%)
NO: 84,100 (26%)
FRANKLIN
YES: 10,548 (60%)
NO: 7,007 (40%)
Some of my so-called conservative friends voted in support of these useless, wasteful spending, anti-gun, pro-pothead questions in alliance with those on the left. Hope they feel real good about that.
Know and understand this, those who voted in favor:
Not a single firearm’s import will be prohibited.
Not a single firearm’s sale will be prohibited.
Not a single firearm’s manufacture will be prohibited.
Not a single firearm’s transfer will be prohibited.
Not a single firearm’s possession will be prohibited.
Adults 21 years of age and older will not be allowed to personally use marijuana.
Commercial marijuana-related activities will not be regulated.
A tax on the sale of marijuana will not be imposed.
All your YES votes did was empower units of government like the clown car that is the Milwaukee County Board to come up with and push future stupid referenda, and as in these instances, draw more liberals to the polls to vote against candidates you may actually support.
