The annual Elvis Week in Memphis concluded this week.

How could Elvis be in any ‘forgotten oldie’ blog?

His former wife Priscilla wants to make sure the King will always be remembered.

Separate Ways

An American Trilogy (live version)


Elvis’ incredible bass singer J.D. Sumner recalled that during that time period Elvis was fascinated with songs about the loss of a woman following his divorce from Priscilla (note “Separate Ways”).

In 1972 this remake of a 1965 recording by Canadian singer-songwriter Buffy Sainte-Marie hit #40 for Elvis.
