Today’s read is from Julie Collier, a former teacher and a decades-long advocate for parents and their children. She started the campaign consulting group American Education Advocates. Here’s an excerpt:
As a former teacher, I know there are good teachers in America. My children have had the benefit and blessing of some good teachers and coaches in their lives. Good teachers are a precious resource in the lives and futures of our children. Unfortunately, there are some teachers who make the choice to use their classrooms as a breeding ground for their own political agendas spurred on by their teachers’ union. These are the teachers who abandoned their role as educators to become Political Activist Educators.
Education in America is in turmoil. But there’s good news.
