Village Idiots of the Day

Let’s start with this buffoon.

“The average gas price in America hit an all-time record high of over $4 per gallon. OK, that stings, but a clean conscience is worth a buck or two. … I am willing to pay $4 a gallon. Hell, I’ll pay $15 a gallon because I drive a Tesla.”
Stephen Colbert

Morons in Colbert’s studio audience laughed, apparently too stupid to realize that the late night TV show had just kicked millions of hard-working Americans squarely in the face. Responding to Colbert is liking shooting fish in a barrel.

“Stephen Colbert — who earns $15 million per year from CBS and has a net worth approaching $100 million — says it’s worth it to endure higher gas prices so that you have a ‘clean conscience.’”
Journalist, author and lawyer Glenn Greenwald

NEXT…

She’s been described as a racist sociopath.

MSNBC’s Joy Reid

“The coverage of Ukraine has revealed a pretty radical disparity in how human Ukrainians look and feel to western media compared to their browner and blacker counterparts, with some reporters using very telling comparisons in their analyses of the war. … If this was happening anywhere else would we see the same outpouring of support and compassion? Well, we don’t need to ask ourselves if the international response will be the same if Russia unleashed their horror on a country that wasn’t white and largely Christian.”
Reid

Yep, that’s gotta be it. While the Russian has notably united those of all political stripes in feeling compassion for the plight of the Ukrainian people, race baiters like Reid can’t help but play ugly partisan politics.
