At tonight’s Planning Commission meeting Strauss officials could not attend because they were out of state.

However a brief statement from Strauss to Franklin was read into the record that Strauss needs time as they seek to sell the land of the site to someone else.

Applause erupted.

Oh my.

The hearing just began at 7:00 tonight and continues. Lots could happen.

Strauss is NOT requesting any specific action be taken on this issue at this time.

UPDATE @ 10:21 pm: Planning Commission votes 4-1 to approve special use permit for Strauss expansion. Recommendation now goes to the full Franklin Common Council.
