Chad Kafka is a communications specialist for the Franklin Public Schools district. His taxpayer-funded compensation is generous, too generous in my view.
Here’s an example of how Kafka spends part of his day. Let’s look at today, 01/28/22.
Kafka is glued to his computer, surfing the Internet, specifically waiting for me to post so he can pounce.
This morning I posted a piece that pictured the school district’s logo directly under the blog headline. This sent Kafka into orbit. He immediately contacted me (three minutes later by his own admission), and threatened me to take the logo down. Never mind the logo can be found several places on the Internet and is funded with taxpayer dollars and I am a Franklin taxpayer. Kafka is all bent out of shape with a knee jerk reaction, simply because I dared to publish a public logo that you and I pay for.
Seems like a productive use of his time and our money, doesn’t it?
Kafka doesn’t like me or what I have to say. Still, I am a taxpaying constituent and the father of a child in the district and deserve respect.
Like most school district administrators Kafka is overly compensated. Some time ago I made an open records request for Kafka’s contract which I received. I did nothing with it but I think now is a good opportunity to present what I was given. The most pertinent document:

Not bad for an 8 month per year job…
