The Biden administration earlier this year entered into a six-month contract worth $86 million to house 1,200 migrant family members near the Southwest border in Texas and Arizona. That works out to $71,666.67 per migrant, paid by your tax dollars. At the time the Center for Immigration Studies wrote “you are now a co-conspirator to one of the largest smuggling schemes in history.” Migrant families were similarly housed in U.S. hotels under the Obama and Trump administrations.
Today’s read is from Ric Oberlink, the executive director of the nonprofit group, Californians for Population Stabilization. Here’s an excerpt:
To those who served their nation, it is shocking to see Biden’s disregard for its borders.
My father served. My mother served. I served. As a veteran, I think it is a sacrilege that the Biden administration is spending taxpayer dollars on hotels for, and payments to, illegal immigrants.
Our nation should provide housing for those who served their country, not hotels for those who broke into it.
