You probably heard that former Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch who is now running for governor recently said the following at a campaign appearance in Door County:
“What I’m about to say may feel ugly to you guys. Ballot harvesting in Wisconsin is not technically illegal. Democrats do it non-stop and they go hard. Republicans must go harder.”
Potential GOP gubernatorial candidate Kevin Nicholson immediately responded calling Kleefisch “as dumb as a bag of hammers,” and that Republicans should reject the tactic.
Newstalk 1130 WISN talk show host Mark Belling in Milwaukee likened the difference of opinion to a boxing match. As always he had some interesting commentary on his program where he criticized Nicholson.
I’m going to link to the Belling show segment from his podcast with the caveat that there’s no easy way to navigate the WISN website. So just play with it and eventually you’ll find it.
Click here and you’ll see at the top of the page “State Republican Governor candidates spar!
To the left of that sentence is a play button. Click it.
Then at the bottom of the page is a link to the audio of the program. Make sure it’s the 10/28 segment.
Click the play button in the center, then scroll to about the 52-minute mark (I can’t give the exact time because I swear the WISN podcast jumps around). The segment runs to a little past the 1:08:00 mark. It’s worth the hunt.
I agree with Kleefisch making me dumb as a bag of hammers.
Heh.
I think you killed his podcast server. It’s taking 2-3 minutes to begin playing…..
