Ron Kind? A moderate? Gimme a break

I have to laugh when media outlets refer to outgoing WI Congressman Ron Kind (D) as a moderate.

The Washington Post actually called Kind a conservative Democrat. If this was a movie someone in the Washington Post newsroom would say “I’ll have whatever he’s smoking.”

Kind? A moderate? Crazy.

Conservative? Even crazier.

Upon inquiring I received the following from Pro- Life Wisconsin:

In 1997, 1998, and 2000, Rep. Ron Kind did vote YES on the federal partial birth abortion ban, but then in 2003 he reversed himself by voting NO (probably because George Bush was president and he knew Bush would sign it into law, which he did).

In 2004 Rep. Kind did vote YES on the Unborn Victims of Violence Act (federal fetal homicide law), making it a crime to harm a fetus during another crime.

Rep.Kind is rated 100% by NARAL.

In sum, Rep. Ron Kind has an extreme pro-abortion voting record, voting to fund abortion with tax dollars, voting for embryo destructive research and human cloning, etc. His only good vote (where he did not reverse himself later) was the Unborn Victims of Violence Act in 2004 which President Bush signed into law. In no way can anyone honestly claim Rep. Kind was “moderate” on the issue of abortion.
