Today’s read is from Stephen­ Moore, an economics journalist, author, and columnist who served as the senior economics writer for the Wall Street Journal editorial page and as member of the Journal’s editorial board. Currently, Moore is the chief economist for the Institute for Economic Freedom and Opportunity.

The people who deserve a break are the tens of millions of taxpayers who paid for public educational services not rendered. Why aren’t more school boards in areas where school buildings were shut down providing families and businesses with property tax rebate checks?
