QUOTES OF THE WEEK

“It’s sort of Obama, Rahm Emanuel’s playbook. They took the crisis of COVID and then they changed election law … not by changing law at the state legislature, they had secretaries of state and or governors simply by fiat change the law to say ‘oh you can keep counting votes’ when the law did say that. So, this election really was stolen in a way and it was stolen because people changed the law …”
US Senator Rand Paul

“Right now, everyone knows Trump won the election in a landslide. They can’t take that away. It’s just a matter of outsmarting the left and figuring out how to deal with election fraud when most of our institutions won’t. The left controls the MSM, big tech, education, Hollywood, the judiciary, and state bars. But there has to be a way to stop massive felony voter fraud. Maybe the civil unrest that is brewing will lead to changes. It is only going to get worse as Democrats reveal they are not going to stop the lockdowns anytime soon even if Biden is in office.”
Rachel Alexander is a conservative commentator and editor of the Intellectual Conservative

“Last August, Trump was questioned at a White House press briefing about polls showing his popularity was declining. Asked to explain, he responded, ‘Nobody likes me. It can only be my personality. That’s all.’ It was a rare moment of transparency for him. There is still a remnant of old-fashioned values my grandparents’ generation embraced and tried to instill in their descendants. One was not to belittle, demean, talk down to, or call other people names. Trump has consistently ignored that advice. While a large number of Americans still support him and the number who voted for him far outpaced any other Republican presidential candidate, or incumbent president, it wasn’t enough. The reason can only be his personality. Most Americans expect a certain amount of dignity emanating from one who temporarily holds our highest office. Could Trump have achieved all he has without the name-calling? I think so.”

Cal Thomas

“I have, we have, great confidence in our son. I am not concerned about any accusations being made against him. It’s used to get to me. I think it’s kind of foul play but look, it is what it is and he’s a grown man, he is the smartest man I know. I mean, from a pure intellectual capacity – and as long as he’s good, we’re good.”
Joe Biden

“Joe Biden’s son is being investigated for trading on his name. There couldn’t be a bigger conflict of interest and this investigation calls for a special counsel.” (I want Biden to) “come clean” about what because “his entire family has been trading on his name in his public life for 50 years.”
GOP Senator Tom Cotton

“It’s important to understand that the media didn’t make a mistake by failing to cover this [Hunter Biden] story. They intentionally failed to cover this story. They knew that the Hunter Biden drama would affect Joe Biden’s prospects of winning the election and they didn’t want him to lose and so they suppressed this in every way.”
Mollie Hemingway

“The Founding Fathers believed that a free press was essential to the preservation of freedom. But we don’t really have a free press today. We have a hyper-partisan press just as committed to one party rule as the talking heads of Pravda were.”
Gary Bauer

“The triumph of evil is always a bitter pill to swallow. In a few weeks, in Georgia, we will see if America itself can survive the onslaught. Well, it was obviously naive to think that anyone, even a President, could overcome the Deep State, Big Tech, the mainstream media, business moguls eager for cheap labor, and every cultural institution. Still, at the end, the Left had to terrorize cities and cheat to win the White House, installing a poor old man who can hardly read a teleprompter and a woman of ill repute. These nefarious tactics are a tribute to half of the the American people who have stood fast, waving the flag and merrily singing the national anthem.
Retired university professor and author Thomas C. Reeves who lives in SE WI

“There’s a new word for 40 million people in this country: Non-essential. And it’s crazy. … During this pandemic, I’ve seen firsthand that everybody is essential to somebody, even if you’re just working to pay your own bills. So something is going on here that is fundamentally upside-down. And the fact that these policies are now being instituted by leaders who have shown themselves to be the very definition of rank hypocrisy is, I’m afraid, going to lead us into a place where it’s going to be very difficult to get the poop back in the goose.”
Mike Rowe

“She had to spend the night in the emergency room, but according to the doctor who treated her, she was ‘still enthusiastic that she got the vaccine and the benefits it would give her in the future.’

“How are the rest of us supposed to respond to a marketing campaign like this? Well, nervously. Better to treat Americans like adults, explain the benefits, be honest about the risks, and let the rest of us decide.”
Fox News’s Tucker Carlson discussing a health care worker in Alaska’s severe reaction to taking the COVID vaccine. The worker was first given a shot of epinephrine, a standard treatment for severe allergic reactions. Her symptoms subsided but then re-emerged, and she was treated with steroids and an epinephrine drip. When doctors tried to stop the drip, her symptoms re-emerged yet again, so the woman was moved to the intensive care unit, observed throughout the night, then weaned off the drip.

The “independent spirit in the United States of people not wanting to comply with public health measures has certainly hurt us a bit. There are people in various parts of the country who still believe that [coronavirus] is a hoax, that it’s fake — even when in their own state the hospitals have been overrun with patients in the hospital beds and in the intensive care unit.”
Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, blamed America’s tradition of individualism and independence for making the COVID-19 pandemic much worse

“It’s not, ‘You should wear a mask.’ It should be mandated to wear a mask.”
CNN’s Don Lemon

“Don Lemon himself does not need a mask since he usually has his foot in his mouth.”
Keith Koffler

“Madame First Lady—Mrs. Biden—Jill—kiddo: a bit of advice on what may seem like a small but I think is a not unimportant matter. Any chance you might drop the ‘Dr.’ before your name? ‘Dr. Jill Biden’ sounds and feels fraudulent, not to say a touch comic. Your degree is, I believe, an Ed.D., a doctor of education, earned at the University of Delaware through a dissertation with the unpromising title ‘Student Retention at the Community College Level: Meeting Students’ Needs.’ A wise man once said that no one should call himself ‘Dr.’ unless he has delivered a child. Think about it, Dr. Jill, and forthwith drop the doc.”
Joseph Epstein, a writer and former adjunct lecturer at Northwestern University for 30 years

“Jill Biden is not a doctor, no. Maybe in the same sense Dr. Pepper is.”
Tucker Carlson

“I’m not sure if we’ll play in the playoffs if parents can’t be there. Why can’t it be the Rose Bowl in Las Vegas? Why can’t it be the Rose Bowl in another town? Where’s the flexibility? The one thing these kids have been is incredibly flexible.

“We’re worshipping the ashes of tradition. They’re not thinking about the student-athlete, and that’s the issue.

“Maybe they need to spend a little less time on who the top four teams are and figure out how to get parents into these games because it is an absolute shame and a sham if parents can’t be watching their kids play. My kids have been on campus since June. They haven’t seen their families very much at all. They’ve had to fight through COVID, some of them have had COVID. They can’t be around their families for Christmas, and you’re going to tell me we’re going to have a playoff and maybe one site can have families and the other can’t? Please.”
Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly

“I argued that it’s not offensive to use Indians as sports mascots if it’s not offensive to use the Irish, and was immediately informed by many leftists that the comparison doesn’t work because the Irish haven’t been persecuted. These people are monumentally ignorant. Amazing.”
Matt Walsh

“In a story … about the Mexican and Brazilian presidents congratulating U.S. President-elect Joe Biden, The Associated Press erroneously reported that Biden’s first name is Jose. His name is Joe.”
The Associated Press

MOST UNDER-REPORTED STORY OF THE WEEK

For months, the state Department of Workforce Development (DWD) has been criticized for its backlog of unpaid unemployment claims. Currently, it’s at more than 35,000. That’s a reduction from nearly 400,000 last summer. The backlog led to the resignation of the department’s secretary, Caleb Frostman, in September. Why isn’t the news media blasting Gov. Evers?
