An aside:
Have you ever asked people about how they season their oatmeal ?
I’ve always had it with butter and salt, like mashed potatoes (only better), with maybe a bit of warm milk.
My family gags. My friends think it’s bizarre. They have only tried it with brown sugar, cinnamon, or maple flavoring,–anything that comes packaged from Quaker Oats. To me, that’s like putting jelly on potatoes.
It sure seems like the majority of people eat oatmeal with sweeteners. I guess I’m the strange one.
