Many years ago I was driving home from Madison on a dark December late afternoon. The quality of radio in that part of the state isn’t he best, but I quickly found a local stataion that was playing Christmas music. So I stayed with it for about 20 minutes before the signal began to fade.
That’s where I heard this week’s oldie for the very first time (and haven’t heard it since). The song is, I believe, the only one dedicated to this particular holiday goodie.
George Strait, the “King of Country Music,” has 60 #1 singles and 33 platinum or multiple-platinum selling albums. He is the only performer to have a Top Ten hit ever year for more than three decades and has sold more than 70 million albums.
And even if you’re not a country fan, I think you’ll really enjoy this toe tapper.
From 1999…
