On occasion I will post an item, not because I totally agree, but I find it as the title suggests to be highly interesting.
What is one of the most under-reported stories of 2020 since the virus broke? Easy.
WTH are we locally, as a state, or nationally going to do about re-opening school?
Here in Wisconsin our governor used to administer the K-12 school system. As governor, he has no clue at this time about how to proceed further. His administration issued pages galore about how businesses should re-open. Not a word as of today about schools. Not that easy after running the state DPI and now you’re running the entire state and over a dozen state agencies when you know zip about each.
POLITICO.com is a left leaning website. Their report I will link to demonstrates how supposed experts with degrees protruding from their armpits haven’t the slightest idea what to do in August and September.
Here’s a beauty. From POLITICO that quotes a scared official:
“I’m a mother and I think I can speak for all moms and dads that we’ve all sent kids to school when they have the sniffles,” said Rhode Island Gov. Gina Raimondo. “We can’t do that anymore. We have prided ourselves on a perfect attendance culture. That’s going to have to change.”
How wussy can you get?
So I post an interesting article about the people we entrust with our school children everyday, and they openly concede they’re frightened about this August and September.
God love our teachers. But they’re in a tough spot because their leaders have no idea what to do.
