No surprise but this Franklin event is gone, too

Every Father’s Day weekend the Xavier Knoll Mission Festival is held in Franklin at 51st St. just north of Rawson Avenue in Franklin. There’s live entertainment and dancing, a huge Rummage tent, iconic summer and ethnic foods, a bake sale, and raffle prizes. It’s a very nice festival.

But it’s a no-show this year.

However there will be a huge raffle. Please consider a donation.

Here are the details.

  1. This is truly sad as it really is a fun event that means a lot to many people. Completely understand the Mission’s decision on this one as they’re a private organization and many of the volunteers are older (youths definitely needed to keep the great tradition going). Yet another reason why 2020 is an awful year and hope the festival is back next year.
