Franklin caved, but not everyone did

The Franklin Common Council voted this month to cancel all Independence Day festivities.

Not a single alderman voted to have a celebration in one form or another. Thanks guys for those obscene taxes we pay  every year.

Other WI communities are still going ahead with honoring America, finding a way to do so when Franklin reps just threw up their hands with a collective “we can’t.” Take a look:

Baraboo:  Fireworks

Union Grove: Parade

Road America, Elkhart Lake: Fireworks

Rudolph: Parade and fireworks

Marshfield: Fireworks

Mosinee: Fireworks

Manitowoc: Parade and fireworks

Lake Tichigan: Fireworks

Hartford: Parade and fireworks

Whitewater: Carnival and fireworks

Wausaukee: Parade and fireworks

Sheldon: Parade and fireworks

Monroe: Fireworks

WI Dells: Fireworks

West Bend: Fireworks

Wautoma: Fireworks

Delavan: Parade and fireworks

Waterford: Parade

Burlington: Fireworks

Kewaskum: Fireworks

Mosinee: Festival, parade and fireworks
