After competing in the Miss USA pageant in 2005 former Miss Wisconsin Melissa Young got some devastating news.

Young had HELLP Syndrome, a life-threatening pregnancy complication usually considered to be a variant of preeclampsia. Both conditions usually occur during the later stages of pregnancy, or sometimes after childbirth.

Young  appeared at a campaign rally for Donald Trump in 2016.

Then, about a week later…watch this video.

In July Warner Todd Huston wrote a great article about Young I highly recommend you read.

Young will speak this Saturday at the Conservative Political Education Conference, sharing her story on how President Trump saved her life. She travels the country speaking on that story and her friendship with President Donald Trump.
