On Tuesday the state Senate approved Senate Bill 49 (SB 49) that deals with teenage prostitution. The bill now goes to the state Assembly for its consideration.
Under this bill, a person who is under the age of 18 may not be prosecuted for
committing an act of prostitution. This is a change from current law, under which a
person who is under the age of 18 may be prosecuted for committing an act of
prostitution, a Class A misdemeanor.
Franklin’s state Senator, Dave Craig is in support. State Representative Ken Skowronski (R-Franklin) is a co-sponsor the bill.
On his program this week WISN’s Mark Belling blasted the bill and GOP supporters.
