Father Robert E. Morey of Saint Anthony Catholic Church confirmed Monday afternoon that he had denied the presidential candidate Holy Communion because of his stance on abortion. Biden, a lifelong Catholic, had attended the church’s 9 a.m. Mass.

Benjamin Perry is a Presbyterian minister.

The anti-Christians have come out of the woodwork. Inevitably, they bring up sex scandals.

Biden’s lone response has been that he’s a practicing Catholic.  Coulda fooled me. The would-be president is a staunch supporter of abortion.

The denial took place at a church in the Diocese of Charleston, South Carolina. The Catholic News Agency reports on a 2004 decree signed jointly by the bishops of Atlanta, Charleston, and Charlotte that states:

“We declare that Catholics serving in public life espousing positions contrary to the teaching of the Church on the sanctity and inviolability of human life, especially those running for or elected to public office, are not to be admitted to Holy Communion in any Catholic church within our jurisdictions: the Archdiocese of Atlanta, the Dioceses of Charleston and Charlotte.”

Interestingly a political scientist interviewed by the Washington Times theorizes that Biden might have been totally aware this would happen and used the incident as a publicity stunt.

So Biden was denied communion. How awful. This same guy stands behind abortion that denies preborn babies the chance at life.
