In the 60’s when you had ABC, NBC, CBS, public TV, and a UHF channel or two and that was it, our family would always catch Andy Williams’ weekly variety show.  Never in tuxedo or suit, he popularized colorful sweaters while onstage.

The show ran from 1962-1971. He’d always end the program with a signature close. Here’s the conclusion of his season opener in 1970.

Note Williams sang but two lines. That was his ending week after week. Rarely did you hear the entire song.
