Elvis truly is everywhere

There was a ceremony in Racine today to announce $580,000 in federal affordable housing tax credits were awarded by the state to help finance the Gold Medal Lofts, a 77-apartment unit development.

The project will redevelop and restore the historic former Gold Medal Camp Furniture plant.

The Milwaukee Business Journal reports, “The former furniture plant at 1701 Packard Ave. historically made wood and canvas camping and directors chairs.”
