Today Steve Taylor sent the following e-mail to the entire Milwaukee County Board:
I have been traveling down memory lane this week recalling the past six years. It has been an honor to serve with you. While the Board is sometimes viewed as unimportant or irrelevant, we know that the work we do is not. I am glad for the choices I made to work with you rather than continually work against you. I can walk away knowing that I never wavered on my principles and understood that 80% of something is better than 100% of nothing.
Our debates were sometimes contentious, but at the end of the day I believe we realized it was just business and not personal. I know the people and municipalities I represented are better off today than when I took office because of the work we did together. I hope my style and sense of humor added something to this distinguished body. I will never forget how you and the staff that serves us comforted me when I lost Marcie. The compassion and kindness you showed will be remembered for the rest of my life.
I want to ask the following of you: please don’t be discouraged by the results of this past election. Don’t let fear of Abele’s money and despicable organization change you; remain strong on your position and votes. If you don’t, county government as we know it will be forever changed. The people of Milwaukee County have seen the real Chris Abele and they do not like what they see; I firmly believe they will reject him in 2020.
I hope to hear from you, and if at any time you would like to discuss anything, please feel free to reach out to me. I believe you all have my cell phone number and my best email is (deleted by KF).
As for me, I am not going anywhere. I will remain active in the three communities I represented as Supervisor and I will continue to defend the legislative branch and support your efforts to represent your constituents. If there is a keg to be tapped in your district, there’s a good chance I will pay a visit. The great thing about politics is that there is always another election……AND 2020 is right around the corner. All My Best!!

On a different note, I want to remind you about who Supervisor Alexander really is. She is an individual that you cannot trust and her history proves it. Every action and decision she makes is calculated only to benefit her.
• She has cried foul since the beginning
• She sued the Board
• She undermined the Board during the Act 14 debate and supports Abele in trying to diminish the authority of the board and acquire more power for himself.
• She launched a baseless unprovoked attack on a colleague during the election, which is filled with lies and exaggerations; basically calling me an abuser of women, a racist and a bully
• She filed a phony five-page ethics complaint against a colleague and despite her repeated attempts to get the media to report it, they chose not to because there was no basis to her allegations. In fact, I spoke with two reporters who said the allegations were obviously meritless.
Here are my thoughts regarding Supervisor Alexander.
