The following is not a bold political prediction. Incumbent Milwaukee County Supervisor Deanna Alexander is going to win her re-election next week handily. She will crush her opponent.
However, she’s still correct to blast the endorsement of her radical opponent by the Milwaukee Teachers’ Education Association (MTEA).
The local teachers union has publicly stated its support for Sparkle Ashley in District 18. Ashley has a history of hostility toward law enforcement.
Today, Alexander issued a news release expressing disbelief that the MTEA would endorse someone like Ashley. From Alexander’s release:
“We expect teachers to set good examples and be role models for our children. As a parent, a child welfare advocate, and the author of Milwaukee County’s anti-bullying resolution, I am disgusted and concerned that we have teachers’groups backing a candidate that boasted about physically attacking people and promoting suicide,” said Alexander.
There are more details in Alexander’s release.
