STDs are at an all-time high

More than 2 million cases of the three nationally reported STDs – chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis– were reported in the United States in 2016, the latest year data is available. That’s the highest number ever.

This NEW infographic breaks down the state of STDs in the United States, the dangers of untreated STDs, and how to prevent them. Want to tell the story of STDs where you live? You can – it’s customizable.

Back in 2007 while filling in for Mark Belling on Newstalk 1130 WISN I read a column by conservative Doug Giles that I said should be read to every middle and high school student in America:

The Teenage Casualties of Casual Sex (click to read)

Health officials contacted me after the show requesting I send them the column.

That was 2007.

Given the most current data, Giles’ blunt column is more important than ever.
