In the mid to late 1960’s the city of Chicago gave us some successful pop bands. The Buckinghams. The Cryan’ Shames. The Ides of March. And of course, Chicago.
Most only hung around for a little while.
Nick Fortuna of the Buckinghams says that particular innocent pop style lost its steam when the Beatles released the psychedelic flavored “Sgt. Pepper.”
One of those Chicago bands was The New Colony Six.
