From Pro-Life Wisconsin:
We have a justice
Justice Neil Gorsuch confirmed on Friday to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Judge Neil M. Gorsuch was confirmed by the Senate on Friday to become the 113th justice of the Supreme Court, capping a political brawl that lasted for more than a year and tested constitutional norms inside the Capitol’s fraying upper chamber.
The development was a signal triumph for President Trump, whose campaign last year rested in large part on his pledge to appoint another committed conservative to succeed Justice Antonin Scalia, who died in February 2016. However rocky the first months of his administration may have been, Mr. Trump now has a lasting legacy: Judge Gorsuch, 49, could serve on the court for 30 years or more.
Vice President Mike Pence presided over the final vote Friday, a show of force for the White House on a day when his tiebreaking vote as president of the Senate was not necessary. The final tally was 54-45 in favor of confirmation.

Commemorate Holy Week
Join Pro-Life Wisconsin for the annual pro-life Stations of the Cross on THIS Friday, April 14, at 9 a.m. at St. Rita – Three Holy Women at 1601 N. Cass St., Milwaukee.
We’d love to see you there as we remember Christ’s Passion and the lives lost to abortion, specifically at the Affiliated Medical Services facility.
TEXAS: On a university campus, a pro-abortion protester freaks out over some graphic displays of aborted children. Caution, this video has some foul language.
CELEBRITY: Shonda Rhimes, the creative force behind the hit shows Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal and How to Get Away With Murder, is joining Planned Parenthood’s national board of directors. PLW: Planned Parenthood is more and more frequently turning to the ultra-left actors of Hollywood to find support, since their ideas are no longer mainstream.
RELIGION: Cardinal Robert Sarah said that the “bitter and decisive” battle against abortion resembles the struggle described in the last book of the Bible, the Apocalypse, and will determine “the survival of humanity itself.” PLW: The war between life and death, between truth and feelings, is reminiscent of scripture. It’s our reliance on God that will save us.
PARENTAL RIGHTS: A Tulsa parent is speaking out after she says her daughter had a birth control implant embedded into her arm during a trip from school. PLW: Federal Title X guidelines allow minors – aged 12 and up – to receive birth control without their consent.
IOWA: The Iowa House passed a bill Wednesday that would ban most abortions in the state at 20 weeks of pregnancy and add a three-day waiting period for women seeking an abortion. PLW: Iowa’s bill is one of the strictest in the country. Wisconsin has a 24-hour waiting period before a mother can abort her child.
DEFINITIONS: How can the potential and brief pain of a 20-week abortion be placed over a raped girl’s pain? Or over a devastated mother’s and father’s pain when they hear, at their 20-week ultrasound appointment, that their baby is developing abnormally and will certainly die? PLW: Another writer calls abortion “pro-life.” She’s confusing murder with mercy. Murder isn’t merciful.
