From Pro-Life Wisconsin:
Did you miss it?
Pro-Life Wisconsin brought more than 300 pro-life activists to Chicago yesterday.
It was refreshing and fun to see young people, parents, consecrated religious women and men, single adults and even grandparents join to show their support for life.
From the bus ride, which included prayers and pro-life videos … to organizing the group and walking through Chicago, the entire day was a peaceful presence showing support for all life.
Pro-Life Wisconsin is grateful for all our supporters, especially the dozens of Knights of Columbus Councils, who helped fund this trip to Chicago.
We also thank you for your constant prayers for the success of the pro-life movement.
RELIGION: More than 20 local faith leaders came together to bless Planned Parenthood’s newest health clinic in D.C. on Tuesday. PLW: Planned Parenthood is a curse, not a blessing.
DEMOCRATS: Given polling and recent electoral losses, one would think Democrats would abandon or moderate their extreme views on abortion. Instead, they have reaffirmed their commitment to promoting late-term abortion and funding Planned Parenthood with taxpayer dollars. PLW: The Democratic Party had enshrined abortion and even Planned Parenthood in its platform in 2016. Will they change their views to win elections?
“WOMEN’S MARCH”: Organizers of the Women’s March on Washington are receiving flak from pro-life women activists, who, apparently, were not invited to the event. Some of these organizations reportedly applied to be organizing partners, but they never received a response. PLW: This supposedly diverse, tolerant, inclusive event has restricted pro-life women completely. See how the Students for Life is standing up in this march to represent pro-life women.
PLANNED PARENTHOOD: What the government giveth, the government almost never taketh away, and that’s what Planned Parenthood has been counting on. Planned Parenthood is an industrial-scale baby abattoir responsible for more than 300,000 American deaths annually and a degradation of human dignity on the order of Josef Mengele. PLW: Defunding the abortion giant is the right decision, for the safety of millions of preborn children and for women’s healthcare needs. Redirecting these dollars to other clinics will help more women.
RELIGION: Here’s a sobering fact: the majority of women who undergo abortions also claim an affiliation with faith in Jesus. According to the Guttmacher Institute (the research arm of the abortion industry), a combined 54 percent of women who underwent abortions in 2014 identified themselves as Protestant or Catholic Christians. PLW: This former pastor asks us to shake it up in our churches and get our own pastors talking about life issues.
MISGUIDED LOVE: In her post, Robin explained that after years of trying to have a baby — enduring two rounds of IVF treatments, as well as multiple frozen embryo transfers — she finally became pregnant. But several months into her pregnancy, Robin and her husband were given devastating news by their doctor: Their baby, whom they had already named Grace, carried a disease that had a 100 percent probability of causing her to either be stillborn, or die shortly after birth … her choice became heartbreakingly clear. PLW: We grieve over this family’s decision to kill their child out of misguided love. It is never our job to decide how long someone will live, no matter our intentions.
CHICAGO: A counter protest to the March for Life Chicago gathered limited support in the days leading up to the March. They couldn’t drown out our love for all life. When it comes to showing support in winter in the midwest, pro-lifers are the best.
