Culinary no-no #502

We are just into a new year, which means just about everybody is making predictions. That includes forecasts about food.

Whole Foods has released its predictions for the top trends and products that will dominate the food industry in 2017.The experts who made the list are in charge of tracking consumer behavior and buying food and other products for the 365 by Whole Foods stores.

As you might have guessed I’m not exactly thrilled with some items in their crystal ball.

Oven-ready meal kits

Essentially dinner in a box, because we want it quick and easy.

How accurate will Whole Foods be? After all, they predicted canned wine would set a trend in 2016.

Here’s what the National Restaurant Association is predicting for 2017. I have serious doubts about #3.

We do know this. No one will go back to these so-called experts at the end of 2017 and ask them why there were so wrong.
