Not going to happen, at least not yet.
When it’s this cold the salt doesn’t work as well, especially on roads that don’t get a lot of steady traffic.
The city has reduced the amount of salt it purchases. That was done the past couple of years so the city could enact a property tax freeze. So the amount of slat being put down is being scrutinized carefully.
Look for trucks to be back at it this week when the forecast calls for warmer temps.
