WEDNESDAY NIGHT SUMMER RERUN: Have you ever been to a party like this?

EVERY WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER, I’M RE-POSTING SOME OLD BLOGS I THOUGHT WERE INTERESTING AND WORTH A SECOND LOOK, OR A FIRST GLANCE FOR MY MANY NEW READERS.

You may have read or heard the news about….

Betsy Davis held a two-day party with relatives and friends before taking drugs that killed her.  Davis suffered from ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Disability rights groups, pro-lifers, many in the medical profession and others feel the new California law allowing euthanasia can lead to horrible abuses of human life. For example, doctors are not required to be present when the patient takes the lethal drug. Did the person take the deadly medicine of their own free will?

Carol Tobias of National Right to Life said the new law “shows a blatant disregard for the lives of California’s medically vulnerable citizens and sends a message to these citizens that their lives are less worthy to be lived. It is a well-established fact that nearly every terminally ill patient who desires death is suffering from treatable depression.”

A suicide party. Reminded me of this blog I posted on July 18, 2009:

An abortion party?

In my weekly installment of “Recommended Reading” today, I included a column about an abortion party.

Quite frankly, I had never heard of an abortion party until this week, and not surprisingly, it’s yet another ridiculous liberal idea.

The author of the piece is a highly confused liberal male who spends much of his work bemoaning the less than participatory role of men in the decision to abort process instead of the obvious absurdities.

Sorry, but an upcoming abortion is nothing to celebrate or raise funds for, and if that makes me not cool, so be it.
